NSSA Presents SpaceTime: Recent Advances in China's Commercial Space Industry and the Implications for U.S. National Security
This SpaceTime interview will highlight the important findings and recommendations of a recent CSIS study entitled, "Blurred Orbits: Inside China’s Commercial Space Expansion". Lead author, the Honorable Kari Bingen of CSIS, who also serves as a valued member of the NSSA Board of Advisors, will discuss the stunning expansion of China’s commercial space industry in both scale and speed. As noted in the report, U.S. policymakers must understand these trends now, before America finds itself outpaced in sheer industrial capacity and output.
This SpaceTime interview will be moderated by Chair of the Moorman Center for Space Studies, Chris Williams, and Curtis Stiles of NSSA.
Date: Tuesday, October 6, 2026
Time: 2:00 - 3:00 PM ET
